Petrol remote control cars, boats and helicopters can be found for sale at both regular stores and online retail sites.  However, if you want to get one of these items at a good price, then purchasing it online is often the best idea.  Online retailers have lower overheads than regular stores and therefore usually have better prices on such items.

Petrol Remote Control Cars:

Remote control or radio controlled petrol cars often cost several hundred dollars; however, there are models that cost over $1,000.  The cost of the RC car depends on which particular model you buy, the size of the car, where you buy it from and whether you purchase the car new or a used one.

If you are looking for an affordable remote control petrol car, then a few good options are the E10 RTR Fordselling for $188 at www.hobbysoup.com, or the 1/5 Rc 28cc Gas Petrol Baja Buggy King Fg Rtr selling on eBay for $460. A little more expensive, but still a good option is the New King Motor KSRC-001 23cc Gas/Petrol Baja Buggy currently selling for $499 at online retailer King Motor.

It should be noted, however, that the above-mentioned prices are not inclusive of shipping charges.  Be sure to check the site's shipping policy before finalizing the purchase; the exact shipping fees usually depend on where you live and what type of shipping you want.

Remote Control Helicopters:

It is a lot cheaper to purchase a remote control helicopter that is not gas powered than to purchase one that is.   In fact, you can easily purchase one of these helicopters for well under $50, although some models do cost $600 or more.

If you are looking for a simple RC helicopter, then a few options are the Infrared Remote Control Tri-Band Indoor Mini Helicopter selling for $13 at www.geeks.com, the JP Commerce 3CH Syma Mini Cargo Transport RC Helicopter selling for $30 at www.NeweggMall.com, and the Ed Hardy Remote Control Intelli Helicopter selling for $28 at Toys R' Us' internet retail site.

There are also RC helicopters that have a video camera attached.  These are quite pricey; in fact, the most affordable models cost around $300.  These can be found at online retailers Dino Direct and Trend Times Toys and Hobbies.  An alternative is to purchase a helicopter video camera that can be attached to a regular remote control helicopter.

Gas powered RC helicopters are more expensive than gas powered RC cars; you will need to pay at least $400 for one if you purchase it new.  Some affordable options include the Pegasus Gas Powered Helicopter selling for $429 at www.Bonanzle.com and the Radikal G20, Lt G10 Gas-powered RC Helicopter selling for around $520 on eBay.

Remote Control Boats:

An RC boat may or may not be gas powered.  Remote control boats that are not gas powered are naturally a lot more affordable.  You can easily purchase one either online or at your local Wal-Mart, Toys R Us or Target.

The most affordable models of petrol RC boats cost a bit over $200.  If you have a limited budget, then you may want to consider the 27" Rc Gas Powered Dolpin Speed Boat with 0.15 Engine selling for $205 at www.rhinomart.com.  Another good option is the AZ Importer GBTS 41 inch RC Gas Powered Tiger Shark Speed Boat; this boat currently sells for $213 at www.toyfunmall.com.

If you have a larger budget, then there are some fantastic fiberglass gas powered remote control boats for sale at online retailer EngageRC.  A couple options available on this site are the Fountain Petrol Fibreglass RTR Race boat and the Warrior RC Flame Petrol Fibreglass RTR Race Boat.  These particular remote control boats cost $595 and $599, respectively.
