Quick Eye Makeup Tips for Busy Women
By RossCampbell
For the modern day working mom, finding time to mess with something like makeup can be next to impossible. While some women may have thirty minutes a day just to fix up their faces, the majority of women need a quick fix or no makeup at all. Luckily, there are some simple things you could do to make your eyes stand out, even if you have a busy schedule. Consider applying some of these fast but effective eye makeup tips in your life.
Start with a Base
You do not have to put foundation and powder on your whole face if you lack the time, but putting a little base on your eyelids will help hold the eye makeup in place throughout the day. You can use something like Benefit concealer to cover up any veins that may be apparent on your eyelids, and all it takes is a swipe to get a firm foundation going for your eyes.
Add White Under Your Brows
Adding a little bit of white eye shadow right under your eyebrows will really help you look awake and alert throughout the day. You can apply this with a sponge, brush, or even a finger and then lightly blend it in. If you have a quick second to puck your stray eyebrow hairs you can, but that may not be necessary. You can do even more of this “waking up” by using a complexion enhancer like Benefit High Beam. That all depends on the time you have left.
Put Eyeliner On
If you get a second to put eyeliner on your top lid, it will do a lot for your eyes. You can get something quick like liquid eyeliner and instantly add a pop to your eyes. If you want a more natural look though, you can skip this step.
Apply Eye Shadow
If you do not have time to get eye shadow looking just right, add a color that is close to your skin tone so it blends in. This may have a sparkle to it to bring attention up to your eyes, but it does not need to be extravagant.
Add Mascara
Mascara is going to be the key to your eye makeup. Get a good quality product like Benefit mascara because the investment will do wonders for your eyelashes. Put a coat of it on one eye, and then do the other. Then go back over the first eye after it has had a second to dry. This is actually something you can do in the car on the go, assuming you are at a stop light or a place to pause for a moment. If you want something to last all day, you may look for waterproof mascara. This will just be harder to take off at night.
Complete Your Face
If you still have a second to fix up your face, add some powder or bronzer to complete the look. Use something like Benefit Dr. Feelgood or Benefit Hoola to tone your face and showcase your true beauty. Even if all you have is five minutes to spare a day, you can still look like a star.
